Find out how YOU can make running SAFER and more ENJOYABLE

How you get started running can make the difference between success and failure. It can determine if you will become a satisfied runner, or lose motivation and quit after just a few days. I didn't know this when I started - which is why I quit and had to start over several times before I got the hang of it.
I want to give a few tips to get you going. When getting started with running, start slow. I know - we all want instant results; it's comforting to think "I'll give it all I've got and instantly become a good runner." Turns out, all it does is get you overly tired - and the next time round, running will be the last thing you want to do.
Running Tips for Beginners
If you're just starting out, underperform. That's right - UNDERperform; do less than you're physically capable. This does two things. First, it tells your body and your subconscious mind "see, this is easy." And second, it keeps you wanting more - to run faster, to run longer, to run more often. So the next time you go out running, you're not doing a chore, but fulfilling a desire.
Watch your breathing. Breathing is very important in its own right - to keep your body going. But it is also important, because breathing gives the first indication if something is going wrong. Watch your breathing - if you're breathing too fast or too slow, too deep or too shallow, you can instantly get yourself back on the right track.
