Regular running or jogging is a great way to jump-start your day or unwind in the evening. It gives you the opportunity to clear and restart your mind. When your body is focused on running, your brain is left free and you can think more clearly.
I started running regularly three times. The first time lasted only a couple of weeks - I couldn't keep the motivation going. After about a year I tried again. I didn't achieve spectacular results, but managed to go on for a few months before I started missing run after run. The third time was much better - I was able to run with not-too-much effort every day, until the temperature dropped below 5F.
Each of those times I used the trial and error approach - I had no coach, no running guide, no supervision. Trial and error is the slowest, and riskiest way of doing things. It's random, ineffective, and 9 times out of 10 you have no idea what you're doing.
